I think that website is a very good idea, but I guess (hope) the concept is still evolving... I read an interview in my local newspaper about your project, and I thought it was great to see other country's way of doing journalism. After seeing most of the website, I am a bit disapointed that most of the news coming from oversea (Japan, Peru, Australia, China, ...) are done by local reporters working for Reuters or AP, which means we can't really feel any particular local values through the journalist. It might be that the interview I read was talking about a "little revolution" and "things we would not see anywhere about oversea's news" that I thought we could see reports from local TV news worldwide. I am not very enthusiastic about seeing the same kind of reports I read in my local newspapers when they translate news agency's thread. Anyway, I think there is something interesting with that website, but I also think it is not as well exploited as it could be.

Carotte, thank you for your comments.  We are adding local broadcasters almost every week, so you will see more and more local content as the weeks progress.  Next week, check out content from the leading private TV broadcaster in Azerbaijan: ANS.

I agree with Carotte, I would like to see less north american biased reporting of world events.  Also, was wondering if that reporting, at some future time, will be broken into different categories such as business, finance, etc.  I like to follow world events as a tool to make stock investments, and "real" events play a large part in how the market and specific stocks move.  As well the timing of the reporting in such situations is of importance as events from other time zones will affect other world markets.

I agree wth Mike and Carotte but I think we should give some time to the team to really define their way of working and vision.
We might nt forget that, unfortunatelly , it is easier to get video new reday for broadcasting over the internet from Reuters and AFP than the  local TV chanel.

I hope this website will also show us the good ( or what I call positive) news !!!
By that  I mean, you have for example 48 countries in Africa and about 10 might be living some difficulties ( war, poverty etc...) but that means 38 others must some positive news to show to the world.

It is good now some of us still have a different goals and I salute the effort of Mediascrape Team.

Good Luck and see you around with good, better and most importantly free opinion news.

KAN.

Mike,

You're right.  We need more news from emerging markets as news from these areas affects all markets.  We will be adding TV broadcasters that have financial news.  This will begin in the coming weeks with broadcasters from Azerbaijan and Asia joining...
I am very interested in Wealth Masters.  Please let me know if I can help in any way by providing you with extra financial information ,etc.

I just discovered Media Scrape tonight. I was wondering they will add local TV channels in my area. It's easy to find national news online at MSNBC or CNN. But sometimes I hear about a local TV story that missed and want to find it online. That would be useful to me.
